Dr Zafar has been working as a GP and Community Surgeon providing minor surgery in Blackburn with Darwen since 2000
He completed his GP hospital training from Fairfield General Hospital Bury and then worked as a Registrar at Minden Medical centre Bury.
Prior to becoming a GP he had completed his fellowship in surgery from Royal college of Surgeons Edinburgh and received training in many surgical specialties including Orthopaedic surgery, General surgery, Urology and ENT at Fairfield General Hospital, Bradford Royal Infirmary and at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust
Dr Zafar is a Lead clinician for East Lancashire Deep Vein Thrombosis and Primary Care Ultrasound Services in East Lancashire
